Our client, a solutions provider for corporate communications and reporting, is looking for a graduate to join their Webcast Engineers Internship programme. This is a 6-month fixed-duration contract based in Johannesburg.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding the context of the project and then planning and executing a successful stream – Reading and interpreting a running order.
- Setting up, operating and maintaining webcasting equipment.
- Attending production meetings specific to the project they are working on and providing input into the technical setup of the streaming project.
- Booking webcasts, testing links and updating links as per clients’ specific needs.
- Collecting and organizing all media necessary for the project.
- Top and tailing, exporting and uploading archive videos.
- Generating reports.
- Backing up archive videos.
- Signing back in webcasting equipment once finished with the webcast.
- Staying up to date with the latest media trends, new streaming software and equipment.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Excellent understanding of streaming software such as OBS and vMix
- Excellent understanding of streaming hardware such as switchers, cameras, encoders and networks
- Excellent understanding of Sound Engineering – how to route sound etc
- Good understanding of camera and exposure theory such as the relationship between shutter speed, f-stop and ISO
- Proficient in Adobe Adobe premiere pro
- Up to date understanding of different camera equipment as it evolves
- Excellent understanding of computer theory (how a computer works)
- An exceptional affinity for problem solving
- Must be a team player – They must collaborate with other team members to create the best possible production
- Good work ethic
