Our client in the transformation and skills development solutions industry is looking for a Human Resources or Business Management graduate to fill a Skills Development Strategist Intern position. The successful candidate will gain work experience and pursue self-learning and development by assisting and coordinating with team members on various projects and administrative tasks. 12-month fixed duration contract.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and compile annual workplace skills plans and annual training reports in line with strategic requirements.
- Source and evaluate external service/training providers.
- Communicate SETA initatives and funding opportunities to the team.
- Update client training plans.
- Assist with training provider related queries.
- Assist with the coordination of training related projects.
Take minutes at meetings and distribute accordingly. - Maintain and update internal training records via the skills transfer register.
- Update and maintain the client database.
- Assist with the registration of learners via the relevant SETA portals.
- Manage filing and other administrative related duties.
- Serve as a resource with regards to all aspects of skills development.
Employment equity administration and reporting
- As per the need of the business assist with capturing data
Special projects and general administration
- Assist with any queries relating to training providers for specific related training programs as identified by the SDF
- Managing and Coordination of allocated projects such as the YES initiative
- Complete any duties, as required from time to time, that fall outside the employees general scope of daily duties.
Requirements:
- Qualification in Human Resources or Business Management or similar
- Able to multitask, priorities, and manage time efficiently
- Goal-oriented, organized team player
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Interpersonal relationship skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office programs
