Role Description:
This is a full-time, one year contract for a Pharmacist Internship position at Netcare St Augustine’s Hospital, Durban. The intern will be tasked with providing support to the pharmacist in ensuring patients receive optimal healthcare. Daily tasks will include receiving and interpreting prescriptions and medication orders, dispensing medication, managing stock levels, and advising patients on the use of medication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy degree
- Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Pharmacist Intern
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medication
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- Commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards of practice
- Availability to work long and irregular hours
