This in an internship for graduates who require work experience in order to gain a professional qualification or unemployed graduates who require work experience to become more marketable.
Output / Core Tasks:
This is a 12 month contract position allowing the incumbent to gain relevant work experience in the financial services industry. The individual will be exposed to data science whilst being part of the Client Solutions team at MiWayLife.
The individual will work closely with the Data Scientist and various stakeholders within the business, and whose primary responsibilities are to undertake data analytics, investigations and reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Extract and create regular MIS reports for the business
- Create new/updated report views
- Undertake adhoc investigations and reports based on business needs/problems
- Build business models
- Undertake data management (structure and storage, transformations)
- Stakeholder management
Qualification and Experience:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Any Data Science related certification with the completed qualification in Data Science (Mathematics and Statistics)
- Knowledge of Python, SQL and/or R preferable
Knowledge and Skills:
To be successful you will need to meet the following requirements;-
- Successful candidate should be unemployed
- Preferably no or very limited previous working experience
- Knowledge of and experience in MS Office
