GIBB Mining is looking for another talented professional to complement their team, in the form of a Graduate Engineer (Mechanical). We welcome your application if you believe you meet the requirements for this position.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Responsible for assistance on all Technical design information required for inclusion into an RFP / RFQ procurement process for the fabrication and delivery to site of specific work package free-issue equipment or for specific construction work packages as assigned.
- Complete mechanical designs under the guidance of the Project Engineer (Mechanical) to an acceptable standard.
- Assist Technical meeting minutes compilations
AREAS OF FOCUS
- Quality – To ensure that the Technical aspects of the GIBB and/or project specific Quality Management System is Implemented and Maintained.
- Project Integration – To assist with the integration of activities of the different discipline Engineers, Designers, Specialists, Contractors and other Project members ensuring that all the work performed is in line with the scope of the assigned work packages and that the desired outcome is achieved.
- Time Management – To ensure that work as assigned is completed on time to meet the project schedule requirements.
- Communication – The distribution of the required information to the stakeholders as assigned.
Job Requirements
Qualifications: BSc Engineering or Engineering Diploma (Mechanical)
Experience: 1 Year design office experience – Engineering vacation related work
Knowledge Required: Engineering design principles, Planning and Scheduling (MSP or Primavera or both)
Reports to: Project Engineer (Mechanical)
Liaises with: Project team including Design Office, Procurement and Project Controls Departments, Contractors, Suppliers and Clients
