This will be a 6-12 month internship.
You’ll work in our Johannesburg office as part of our McKinsey Internship Academy.
The academy focuses on providing youth with qualifications and living with disabilities an opportunity to gain relevant work experience in order to increase their prospects of obtaining permanent employment.
You’ll be placed in a function related to your qualification in one of our locations in our EEMA region.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- You will perform a range of simple/standardized administrative tasks with close supervisory guidance in support of the function they are placed in. Your specific responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) scheduling and planning, data management, and project support activities.
- You will provide standardized administrative, organizational and logistical support to events or activities related to the function. With close supervisory guidance, you will also provide support on all activities within the function.
- You will aid in operating IT systems, including data collection and administration. You will also create reports and run standardized data analyses. You will maintain relevant practice infrastructure and materials (e.g., Box notes, Slack channels, distribution lists, newsletters).
- You will support special projects on simple operational tasks (as needed). You will contribute to the improvement of processes, best practices and tools under the instruction of more senior team members.
Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English as well as the local office language
