The Process Engineer Intern at L’Oréal SSA Woodmead.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hands-on engineering and providing shop floor support
- Technical troubleshooting and process improvement
- Implementation of best practices and process standardization
- Technical documentation update
- Lead and participate in root cause investigation within production environment
- Support in planning manufacturing activity to best meet packaging needs and set employees’ individual targets
- Process and equipment validations
- Support the manufacturing manager with plans for improving in manufacturing in line with needs
- Optimize the allocation of products to manufacturing tools
- Lead or animate working groups, improvement groups and/or multidisciplinary projects to help improve the manufacturing process and adapt to changes in the production unit
Qualifications:
- An Engineering Degree Graduate who is actively looking to gain experience in a Processing Manufacturing Environment
- Minimum 1 year experience in the relevant field
- Computer Literacy MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Competencies:
- Analytical person who works systematically and has good organization skills
- Ability to develop and analyse trend data
- Good investigative skills for troubleshooting and willing and able to think “out the box”
- Ability to communicate well in writing specifically in technical report writing and procedure writing.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing at various levels on technical and training issues, so that the message is clear, with an ability to influence people in quality related matters
- Ability to lead a multi-disciplined team
- High level of integrity and responsibility
- Decision making
- Attention to detail is critical
- Proficient in big variety of lab testing equipment
- Good understanding of quality system principles
- Good understanding of manufacturing and production processes
