Technical Engineer Intern (YES – Youth Employment Services)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform innovative Delivery Services for Hitachi Vantara customers, as defined in a Statement of Work as identified by your manager, or as assigned by a Project Manager,
  • Work with the Project Manager closely to validate whether the Project completion expectations have been met, making the Project Manager aware of any deviations from the Statement of Work,
  • Work closely with the internal project team and customers to implement the technical solution, building mutual support and understanding with colleagues and customers,
  • Ensure Hitachi quality standards and values are met by maintaining a high levels of professionalism at all times and ensuring high customer satisfaction,
  • Represent Hitachi Vantara positively to customers and manage issues effectively,
  • Comply with all published Hitachi policies and guidelines,
  • Communicate with the Hitachi Vantara managers, Project Managers and senior technical colleagues to determine priorities and focus areas,
  • Work alongside senior colleagues to gain hands-on experience of our products, solutions and processes,
  • Owning Personal Development: Develop skills and work proactively with your manager to attend prescribed training, as defined in a training schedule, demonstrating strong commitment to personal learning and development. Participate in Training and Development curricula as determined by line manager and/or Practice Leads,
  • Ensure administration processes are executed accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Preferably One-to-three years’ experience in the IT industry or other relevant business experience,
  • IT literate, comfortable with current business software (ie. Office, Excel, Outlook, Word etc.),
  • Strong analytical skills, inquisitive and methodical,
  • Agile methodology mindset,
  • Keen to learn and develop,
  • Interested in the IT industry,
  • Equally capable of working independently and as part of a team,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.




Marketing Intern (YES – Youth Employment Services)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Channel team to agree marketing activities for each quarter,
  • Work with a team to agree execution of activity,
  • Assist with response handling on events,
  • Activation of agreed activities and programs.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing,
  • Professional experience can be a plus,
  • Fluency in English,
  • You have great communication and organisational skills.

Facilities Intern (YES – Youth Employment Services)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Director for Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) in EMEA, this strategic role is an opportunity to assist in defining the future for Hitachi workspace, also to unite and support regional REWS team members in Europe, the Middle East and Africa in the daily coordination of operations, projects, and lease management activities.
  • Build a model to understand the EMEA objectives, workload, and opportunities.
  • Create and use portfolio metrics to understand and measure workplace effectiveness across the region.
  • Build on Hitachi Group workplace goals to help define office metrics of the future based on agile / hybrid working strategy and options.
  • Develop a coherent workplace strategy for the EMEA region to aid in the acquisition and design of new office space.
  • Explore, evaluate, and implement programs and services to aid engagement, collaboration and project management while ensuring that they meet Hitachi EMEA needs, are cost-effective and support the organization’s strategic direction.
  • Support the development of annual facilities business plans and forecasts in alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Support activities before, during and after property acquisition and acquired sites as required.
  • Support the EMEA REWS team in strategic, sourcing, reviewing, and planning of real estate/space solutions, and support with the negotiating real estate transactions.
  • Provide support, as required, to the EMEA team on capital works projects for construction, renovation, and other fit-out programs.
  • Ensure due diligence and compliance with risk management and asset protection policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the development and monitoring of the operating and capital budgets for Hitachi EMEA Facilities
  • Coordinate the efficient, effective operation of the Facilities team by developing, evaluating, and implementing resource allocation model.

Requirements:

  • An interest and ability in Business Intelligence, dashboarding and online collaborative tools.
  • A passion for understanding and being part of the future of work and workplace services.
  • You have or are working toward a Bachelors or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Around 1 year of professional experience gained in the workplace or as part of an undergraduate placement.

Pre-Sales Intern (YES – Youth Employment Services)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working independently or teaming, will participate in the design of the technical solution that will meet a given customer need,
  • Gathering data on customer business issues, studying solutions, employing this information in Hitachi engagement,
  • Collecting customer requirements and design technical solutions (e.g., master architecture plans, blueprints, roadmaps, etc.) based on the company’s storage products and solutions,
  • Working on the solution proposal, scope of work and solution presentation to customer at all level,
  • Articulating in a clear manner, alternatives in terms of cost, benefit, and risk where multiple solutions exist,
  • Assisting the Service team in the creation of technical project plans and work breakdown structures,
  • Understanding of customers’ business needs and knowledge of industry trends in one or more disciplines (Business Continuity, Tiered Storage, or Storage Management) to build a business case for Hitachi solutions,
  • Supporting Hitachi Partners with training, certification, and business development.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent formal Education,
  • Around 1 year of professional experience in a pre-sales role in the Storage Industry,
  • IT industry is in your career interests,
  • Mandatory Knowledge: Windows + Cisco Networking or Unix + Cisco Networking (For Windows, preferably MCSE or Windows AD in depth knowledge, For UNIX, preferably to have UNIX scripting knowledge)
  • Fluency in English,
  • You have great communication and organisation skills.

Diversity & Inclusion Intern (YES – Youth Employment Services)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to Hitachi’s Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) policy and plan of action which includes coordinating the initiatives, events and programs that support the overall objectives and goals,
  • Coordinate, prepare and review diversity-related communications, reports and surveys,
  • Coordinate data collection, entry, and reporting processes relative to D&I. Use data to track and report progress on D&I goals and objectives,
  • Update SharePoint or other internal platforms (Teams, Yammer) with D&I focus,
  • Provide technical input, draft policy documents and required briefs/ documents/ reports / presentations related to D&I,
  • Lead research, analysis and evaluation, and quantitative and qualitative research related to D&I,
  • Participate in inter-company meetings and activities to foster collaboration in the D&I space,
  • Plan, prepare, and coordinate D&I events, workshops, presentations, meetings and/or trainings, for employees and other key stakeholders in the organization,
  • Partner proactively with the Human Resources function to develop, facilitate and support D&I best practices.



Requirements:
