This Delivery Unit is looking for another talented professional to complement their team, in the form of a Graduate Engineer. We welcome your application if you believe you meet the requirements for this position.
The purpose of the job is to produce technical deliverables and assist team of Engineers and Technologists in the design, procurement, contract administration and Site Monitoring of large scale multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Design & documentation of municipal services
- Produce technical deliverables of the right quality in the design and implementation of roads (municipal & provincial), stormwater, sewer, water, ducting, earthworks & pavements
- Competently undertake measurements, compile Bills of Quantities and technical specifications to SANS1200 & COLTO
- Undertake duties of the Employers Agents Representative in accordance with GCC2015
- Prepare as-built drawings and close-out reports
- Develop solutions to problems/challenges in the most optimal and cost-effective manner
- Generate creative solutions to work situations; trying different and novel ways to deal with organizational problems & opportunities
- Be aware of the various technologies available and to provide appropriate & best practice solutions as well as represent GIBB in the industry
- Understand and successfully apply Quality Management Principals and system
Requirements
Qualifications:
- BSc /, BEng / BTech in Civil Engineering
Experience:
- 0 to 2 or more years with specific Municipal Infrastructure Design experience a pre-requisite.
- Experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects
- Experience with GCC2015, SABS1200 & COLTO
- Competent with Civil Designer, Civil3D and AutoCAD
