Gauteng Department of Agriculture invites unemployed graduates to apply for a 24-month Graduate / Internship Programme 2023.

Post: AGRICULTURE GRADUATE PROGRAM – LIVESTOCK FARM (24 MONTHS) X 27 POSTS

Salary: R91 350.00 annual stipend
Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa

Duties:
- Be receptive to learning new methods of farming/gardening and sharing existing knowledge of farming.
- Care, cleaning, feeding, and providing water to livestock if placed on livestock farm, Maintain all farming related equipment, tools, and supplies, including tractor and other machineries.
- Assist others with various additional projects and work-related errands as needed. Always maintain bio-security measures on the farm.
- Notify Manager of animal issues such as sickness, etc
- Develop and discuss alternative and innovative strategies for the farm be it feeding systems, breeding systems, etc
Requirements:
- Grade 12 plus
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) or National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Agriculture as recognised by SAQA.
Competencies:
- Computer literacy.
- Good communications skills.
- Good organisational skills
