Purpose of this Position:
As part of a team, the successful incumbent will be responsible for providing fast and useful technical assistance on computer systems. You will answer queries on basic technical issues and offer advice to solve them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serving as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance.
- Performing remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
- Determining the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers.
- Walking the customer through the problem-solving process.
- Directing unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
- Recording events and problems and their resolution in logs.
- Following-up and updating customer status and information.
Knowledge and Experience Required:
Skills, know-how and experience
- Technological know-how, with working knowledge of Microsoft’s office automation products and operating systems;
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products; and
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
Technical / Professional Qualifications:
- BTech computer studies or equivalent tertiary qualification; and
- A+, N+ and Microsoft certifications would be advantageous.
