The following Internship Opportunities are open for applications:
Intern: Media Librarian
The incumbent would be required to gather, organise and store all content generated or acquired by the eMedia Group. The Media Librarian’s job purpose is to store all content to existing policies and prescribed standards.
Key Performance Areas:
- Build, support and maintain interpersonal and team relationships to ensure stable working environment and achievement of team objectives
- Attend learning and development courses. Participate in peer and team learning initiatives.
- Comply with work rules, standards and methods. Take care to minimise waste.
- Archiving master material and deliverables of eMedia Group owned content.
- Collating, uploading, entering relevant and descriptive metadata and documentation into the various Management Systems/Database to the existing policies and prescribed standards.
Sourcing promotional material on request from internal stakeholders. - Searching, retrieving and providing content to clients upon request and according to requirements.
- Checking out dispatching, returning and recycling of media.
- Managing and maintaining all Library.
- Monitoring Library Systems performance and workflows.
- Reporting any irregularities and inconsistencies to the Manager: Media Library.
Qualifications:
- National Diploma Library Information Science
Intern: Media Usage Coordinator
The incumbent would be required to gather, organise, store and report on all content generated or acquired by the eMedia group. The Music Usage Coordinator is also required to gather, check and report on all music usage across all channels in the eMedia Group.
Key Performance Areas:
- Build, support and maintain interpersonal and team relationships to ensure stable working environment and achievement of team objectives
- Complete Individual Development Plan. Attend learning and development courses. Participate in peer and team learning initiatives.
- Budget Compliance Comply with work rules, standards and methods. Take care to minimise waste.
- Following up with distributors, production companies or internal stakeholders regarding delivery of cue sheets for all channels.
- Checking and filing all cue sheets as per the required departmental standard.
- Assisting with clearance of music for internal stakeholders.
- Assisting in re-checking schedules before monthly submissions are made.
- Maintaining filing systems for all cue sheets
- Preparing the reports for submission for Music Rights Organisations.
- Preparing the report of music usage as per the broadcast schedules across all channels.
- Providing daily and weekly task reports to Manager: Medial Library on all key performance areas.
- Assisting with any other tasks as requested by the Media Library Manager
Qualifications:
- National Diploma Media Studies
Intern: Finance
Key Performance Areas:
- Build, support and maintain interpersonal and team relationships to ensure stable working environment and achievement of team objectives.
- Attend learning and development courses. Participate in peer and team learning initiatives.
- Comply with work rules, standards and methods. Take care to minimise waste.
- Capturing invoices accurately in the accounting systems.
- Receiving invoices.
- Assembling invoices and checking details.
- Inputting invoices in accounts payable.
- Making the necessary payments according to the agreed term.
- Receiving statements from suppliers.
- Matching statements to the invoices.
- Liaising with the divisions and clients regarding invoices.
- Reconciliation of the account to the statement.
- Completing payment vouchers.
- Providing electronic payment details to the Accountant.
- Filing invoices to the correct statement and making sure that all invoices are on file for VAT purposes (electronically),
- Keep BEE inforamton for suppliers up to date in the relevant templates.
- Making sure that invoices are allocated to the correct account of budget purposes.
- Trouble shooting and problem solving.
- Liaising with external and internal stakeholders regarding payments.
- Communicating with HOD or designated representative.
Qualifications:
- A National Diploma in Bookkeeping
