The East London Industrial Development Zone SOC Ltd is a State-Owned Corporation set up by government through the South African Industrial Development Zones Programme (now the South African Special Economic Zones Programme) to develop, operate and maintain modern infrastructure and to complementary attract strategic investments for the region.
The East London IDZ is looking for interns to be exposed in the following fields for a period of up to 24 months subject to the conditions of the internship agreement to be signed after appointment:

Human Capital Management Intern x 1
Requirements: A 3 Year Qualification in;-
- Human Resources Management
- Industrial Psychology
Science and Technology Park: Laboratory Intern x 5
Requirements: A 3 Year Qualification in;-
- Microbiology
- Chemistry
- Biotechnology
- Food Technology
Information Communication Technology: Office Administration Intern x 1
Requirements: A 3 Year Qualification in;-
- Office Management and Technology
- Office Administration
- Business Administration
Information Communication Technology Intern x 2
Requirements: A 3 Year Qualification in;-
- Information Technology
- Computer Science
- Information Systems
Company Secretary: Office Administration Intern x 1
Requirements: A 3 Year Qualification in;-
- Office Management and Technology
- Office Administration
- Business Administration
Business Analyst Intern x 1
Requirements: 3 Qualification in;-
- Accounting
- Financial Management
Project Management: Maintenance and Facilities Intern x 1
Requirements:
- A 3 Year Qualification in Operations Management
Science and Technology Park: Research Intern x 2
Requirements: A 3 Year Qualification in;-
- Agricultural Economics
- Economics
Other Requirements:
- Relevant studies have been completed.
- South African citizen (preference will be given to applicants from Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality).
- The ELIDZ is committed to giving preference to suitably qualified persons with Disabilities in the relevant respective areas of the internship.
- You must not be studying full-time.
- You must be unemployed.
- You must not have relevant experience.
- You must not have relevant experience pertaining to your field of study.
- You must not have participated in any other internship programme.
- First preference will be given to top performers academically.
- You must be between the age of 18 – 35 years.
