We are looking for an innovative and result-oriented team member with a great analytical mind to join our team as a Sales Intern.
In this role, you will be working in close collaboration with the rest of the sales team who are managing the Duracell business with South African retailers. Your main task will be supporting them on key projects which will enable the Duracell brand to achieve its sales and distribution objectives.
This experience will empower you to sharpen your skills around the fundamentals of sales and customer relationships in a very challenging environment. The top candidate has excellent problem-solving and people skills and should be able to make recommendations when faced with business challenges. A Sales Intern would be a natural candidate for a potential Key Account Manager role following a top performance.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Being an expert on Duracell’s key business drivers and sales strategies, and enabling effective implementation across different customers
- Staying close to the competitive activities in each market, reporting them and coordinating the required actions for timely response
- Putting in place the right tracking systems to measure the KPIs of the team and coordinating the required actions for improvement
- Consolidating data among team members to generate one combined source of information on key deliverables
- Maintaining excellent relationships with other teams/divisions in the company to ensure fast delivery of required documentation and sales materials to our distributors on a timely basis.
- Managing relationships with third-party vendors and agencies to ensure the best service is received at the best cost to the company
- Being a trusted point of contact for our retailers and distributors to enable an effective transfer of data/information between the parties for the continuation of day-to-day operations.
- Ensuring key visibility materials are identified, sourced, and delivered to distributors, to improve Duracell brand’s presence in the store; both offline and online.
- Leading the organization of key team events and meetings, owning the agenda, and working with key stakeholders to bring them to life.
- Generating ideas to improve team efficiency, simplify processes and enhance team spirit
- Working alongside the team to help best practices travel, inside and outside of the team.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Business Administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- Fluent in English
