The following Internship Opportunities are open for applications:
Architect/CAD Intern
Supports the team and relevant work activity. This role supports on-the-job training and transferrable skills and prepare for competitive employment opportunities within the community.
Requires broadened technical skills to perform a defined array of design activities. May act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.
- Short-Cycle Tertiary Degree (i.e. Associate’s Degree) or other related experience.
Student Intern – Chemical Engineering
Intern utilizes operations knowledge and experience gained in process technology program, to train in operating the plant in a safe, reliable and optimal manner. Works with Shift Team members to efficiently learn to anticipate and resolve unplanned events within the capabilities of the shift team and effectively escalates issues that cannot be resolved to the appropriate support roles. Intern supports in production data collection, analysis, report writing and implementation of solutions to improve the process.
CHIETA Strudent Intern – Analytical Chemistry
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Supports routine day-to-day implementation and maintenance tasks related to the plant quality system.
- Supports plant-level management of change activities related to product quality.
- Supports plant quality training related to key quality system requirements to meet customer and product regulatory needs as well as the use of supporting tools and processes to achieve plant and business quality goals.
- Monitors effectiveness of the plant’s quality management system. Supports strategic improvement opportunities.
- Supports product quality problem solving efforts through execution of data mining, traceability investigations and batch reviews.
- Ensures that product returns and non-conforming product are appropriately managed to prevent unintended use, including disposition.
- Ensures plant Operating Discipline systems, procedures and guidelines are improved and optimized to meet plant and business quality system requirements, as appropriate.
- Hosts customer and other quality related external audits, in cooperation with commercial and other functions.
Experience:
- Short-Cycle Tertiary Degree (i.e. Associate’s Degree) in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) field plus manufacturing or other related experience.
Mechanical Intern
Supports the team and relevant work activity. This role supports on-the-job training and transferrable skills and prepare for competitive employment opportunities within the community.
Requires broadened technical skills in analytical/scientific methods or operational processes to perform a defined array of activities. May act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.
Experience:
- Short-Cycle Tertiary Degree (i.e. Associate’s Degree) in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) field plus manufacturing or other related experience.
