The Department of Communications and Digital Technologies (DCDT) is offering nine (9) Internships to graduates between the ages of 18 and 35 for a period of twenty-four (24) months. All positions except as indicated below are based in Pretoria. A stipend of R8544.50 per month is applicable.
Please note this is not a student Internship and no students who require practical work experience will be considered.

BRANCH: ICT POLICY AND STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT
ICT Strategy (Ref. DCDT 01)
Qualifications: B Degree in Economics, Econometrics or Public Policy.
BRANCH: ICT INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT
Broadband (Ref. DCDT 02)
Qualifications: B Degree / National Diploma in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent ICT related qualification.
BRANCH: ICT INFORMATION SOCIETY DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH
ICT Innovations (E-Skills Innovations) (Ref. DCDT 04)
Please note: This post is based in the Strand, Western Cape.
Qualifications: BSc Computer Science / B Comm. Informatics / National Diploma in Information Technology specialising in Software Development.
BRANCH: SOE OVERSIGHT AND ICT ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT
SOE Governance and Support (Ref. DCDT 04)
Qualifications: B Degree in Accounting / Internal Auditing / Legal Studies / Business Administration
Or National Diploma in Internal Auditing or National Diploma in Business Administration.
BRANCH: ICT INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS AND TRADE
ICT International Affairs (Ref. DCDT 05)
Qualifications: B Degree or equivalent qualification in International Relations, Economics, Politics, Law or Legal Studies.
BRANCH: ADMINISTRATION:
Supply Chain Management / Logistics and Asset Management (Ref. DCDT 06)
Qualifications: B Degree or National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent qualification.
Information Technology (IT) (Ref. DCDT 07)
Qualifications: B Degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science / Information and Communication Technology.
Legal Services (Ref. DCDT 08)
Qualifications: LLB Degree or equivalent legal qualification. Added advantages include completed School of Legal. Practice, completed courses related to 4IR / Telecommunications / Media law / Competition law / Commercial law and admission as an attorney or advocate.
Internal Audit (Ref. DCDT 09)
Qualifications: National Diploma / B Degree in Internal / External Auditing or Financial Accounting with Internal / External audit as a major subject.
CONDITIONS
- Applicants must be unemployed graduates who are in possession of the relevant tertiary qualifications as indicated above and are South African citizens.
- Applicants should have no previous work experience related to their qualifications, including no previous Internships.
- Successful applicants will sign an Internship agreement.
