We’re hiring an Intern Field Agronomist
Learn how you can be our voice in the conversation about the future of agriculture.
As an Intern Field Agronomist, you will be responsible for assisting the Field Agronomist for the region and sales representatives in daily agronomic work. The aim is to learn about agronomic practices, products and technologies, complaints and resolutions as well as support for the marketing team.
You Will Be Part of Growing Team
As part of the Pannar Team you will be driving collection of agronomic data and technical support to the Field Agronomist and Sales Representatives
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the planting of trials for data collecting and marketing support
- Assist with the planting and maintenance of the Pannar Extravaganza in Kroonstad
- Assist with the collection of agronomic data from trials throughout the region
- Assisting with planting, maintenance and collecting data from specific agronomic trials planned by the Filed Agronomist.
- Assist with product placement trials and strategy implementation
- Assist with general agronomic work done by the Field Agronomist
Key Stakeholders and Interactions:
Working with the Field Agronomist, Area Manager, and Sales Representatives requires not only being technically skilled but also the ability to forge relationships. These are critical skills for the job.
Qualifications:
To Grow What Matters, You Will Need
- B Sci Agric – University degree in Agronomy or related discipline
- Licensed driver – more than 1 years driving experience
- Personal computer proficiency
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans will be advantageous
- Intermediate communication skills in agronomy, data collection, and presenting information to the Field Agronomist and Sales Area Manager.
