We are looking for a Human Resources Intern who will provide professional assistance to the HR Department. The person will be based in the Centurion office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
On-boarding and Terminations
- Assist with the administration of new employees, etc.
- Assist with termination administration, i.e. Ul19s, Certificates of Service, etc.
Recruitment
- Assist with the Pre-Employment processes.
- Post new positions on various career sites.
- Sort incoming resumes and log them into appropriate tracking spreadsheets
- Assist with coordinating candidate interviews and psychometric assessments and other verification
Develop and Maintain HR Compliance Knowledge
- Assist with developing current knowledge of HR Laws and Regulations.
- Keep abreast of new developments in the HR field.
- Regularly update HR information databases.
- Keep abreast of document retention requirements, i.e. POPIA
General Admin
- Source training providers, schedule internal/external training/workshops, etc.
- Creating new personal files on the online filing system and maintaining electronic and physical employee files.
- Update the group organogram
- Address employee queries with the guidance of the HR Business Partner
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Commerce: Human Resource Management Degree
- Knowledge and understanding of the BEA, LRA, EEA, OHSA and other labour related Acts and regulations
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good reporting analytics skills
- Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
