The purpose of this position is to support with the efficient control of inventory i.e. to determine measures for excessive stock, dying stock, shelf life and customer backlog. The successful candidate will also provide support with sales, marketing, supply chain, OES (Original Equipment Service) to maintain the smooth running of the Automotive Aftermarket business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties will include but are not limited to;
- Inventory management – support with excessive, dying and shelf-life monitoring and capturing;
- Inbound management – assist with expected time of arrival, advanced shipping notice coordination with finance department;
- Airfreight monitoring and record capturing;
- Assist on monitoring and working on increasing customer service level;
- Manual ordering – purchase order creation when the need arises;
- Supporting sales and marketing with stock related issues & problem solving;
- Customer backlog analysis, monitoring and recording of data;
- Lead time monitoring – monitoring transportation and production lead time of different suppliers;
- Stocking policy- assisting with the decision making process of making;
Requirements:
- Previous exposure in a supply chain environment would be an advantage;
- Good communication skills;
- Computer literacy in MS Office packages;
- Previous experience in SAP would be an advantage;
- Attention to detail is essential

Qualifications:
- Grade 12;
- A degree in Industrial Engineering / Supply Chain / Logistics or equivalent;
