Finance & Shared Service team in the South Africa is looking for an exceptional Compliance intern to be based in our office in Isando, Kempton Park.

Most tasks and responsibilities will require your dedicated contribution as part of a team, but individual initiative will be encouraged.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties (under close supervision and support from the Regional Compliance & Risk Manager) will include;-
- Assist management to ensure governance & compliance to local laws & Group policies
- Provide training on compliance, export control, minimum contracts etc., when needed
- Ensuring that employees have a
- ccess to all Company Policies & Procedures related to the legal matters.
- Review contractual commitments prior to finalization sales and purchase contracts
- Review the legal and commercial terms in accordance to defined authorization procedures and routines
- Facilitating the re-negotiation of existing contracts in coordination with the company’s lawyers.
- Assist with contractual disputes. Providing expert advice and support to colleagues
- Assist in setting compliance with GDPR / POPI Act
- File, organize and summarize legal and corporate documents of the company Alfa Laval Pty and Alfa Laval SA Pty.
- Work hand in hand with company secretary to ensure all necessary submissions/filings are done swiftly
- Create, update, and organize contract files (electronic and hard copy)
- Assist with research and gathering of information on new and existing regulations impacting the Company
- Assist with monitoring of compliance with applicable regulations and internal requirements
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to assist with compliance meetings, training, or workshops
- Assist with incident reporting, to ensure timeous escalation of compliance risks and incidents
- Provide general support and assistance to the Compliance & Risk Manager
Qualification and Experience:
- LLB, BCom Law Degree or BCom Risk Management
- Computer literate in MS Office which includes Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
- A basic understanding and knowledge of the regulatory requirements impacting on the mechanical industry, although not a prerequisite.
- Customer service or order handling, in a manufacturing company is an added advantage
- 0-2 years working experience
