Job Description:
Automation
- PLC, HMI and Servo motor programming specializing in Allen-Bradly Automation platforms
- On site assistance with site breakdowns and electrical issues
- Assist Automation team in ensuring that all automation equipment is maintained, operated and tested in compliance with OSHAct and regulations
- Ensures that good engineering practices and standards are employed at all times during modification, addition or maintenance of plant automation machinery and equipment
- Storage and management of all machine application software (PLC, HMI Servo)
- Continuous improvement of site automation equipment to keep aligned with industry standards
Testing, Commissioning and Validation
- Assist in Performing the Design Qualifications of major projects with assistance of the Validation department, relevant colleagues and consultants / contractors
- Initiates change control as applicable and ensures closure of all outstanding issues
- Keep all drawings and documents updated and filed for easy reference / record retention
- Assist in Ensuring all relevant training is performed as part of commissioning and validation process
- Ensures compliance with the necessary local and international standard/policies as well as all in house Standard Operating Procedures and requirements i.e. Safety, Health and Environment Compliance, Insurance and Legal act
- Adheres to the Standard Operating procedures and safety requirements as per OHSAct
- Maintains a safe working environment and ensures that all engineering staff and contractors perform their duties in a safe way
- Ensures that the Safety, Health and Environmental aspects of the Engineering function is in compliance with:
- Johnson & Johnson EHS&S standards
- Applicable EHS regulatory requirements
- Understand and implement the relevant EHS Guidelines, ISO 14001 clauses, Standard Operating Procedure, Legislative requirements and performance expectations thereof
- Conducts and participates in EHS System audits and Management Reviews related to projects
- Identifies, prepares and executes action plans to address non-compliance deviations
Qualifications:
P1 & P2 in service practical training for Electrical Engineering National Diploma
- Sound understanding of Electrical Engineering systems
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Good Communication skills
- Analytical, Practical and good decision making skills
- Computer Literate
