Our client is the leader of chrome excavation mine in the North West and are currently looking for general worker to work as a team assisting trade craftsman with general support.
The excellent general worker is anyone who assist with site preparation clearance, maintaining general work site tidiness, operate working tools equipment, collect samples and contribute towards site safety and as instructed by the line manager and working using your own initiative within specified criteria.
Responsibilities:
- Assist skilled craftsman on a mining site with general support
- General site storage, lifting, fetch supplies, unload and check deliveries and undertaking duties to assist craftsman
- Recognise hazardous defects and the need for repair to ensure compliance with agreed codes laws, applicable codes, procedures and legislation including health and safety
- Observe to all organisational policies and procedures, including those relating to hygiene, respect for other team members, time keeping and flexibility
Requirements:
- Minimum Experience 1 to 2 years
- Approachable and friendly
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to handle tools, equipment, and materials
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations
- Flexible to working as part of a team
- Grade 9 preferred. N1
