Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of General Worker to be based at the McCain Springs Plant, Gauteng.
Purpose of the Job:
To ensure good quality approved bags get packed into cases as per required standards per product. To ensure that non-conforming bags is striped and the product recovered to be tipped back on the line
Key Performance Areas:
- Help achieve AIB Gold Standard Re-Certification by practicing good GMP and HASSP.
- Help to ensure and maintain 5S scores.
- Report any product issues to supervisor.
- Identify and remove non-conforming bags and cases.
- Strip of non-conforming product to be re-introduced to the line.
- Ensure adherence to all reasonable instructions.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- 1-year work experience within the food industry and FMCG.
Person Specifications:
- Assertive and results orientated.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work productively in a stressful environment.
- Willing to work shifts as and overtime when required.
- Medically fit to work in a cold environment.
