Job Purpose:
- To ensure the effective operation of the cash register during direct sales.
Educational Requirements:
- Grade 12
Minimum Work Experience:
- 1-year cash register experience
Key Performance Areas:
- Ensure that all items sold are registered on the cash register.
- Ensure that correct cash is collected for each sale and that the correct change is issued.
- Ensure continuous cleanliness of scanner and counter areas.
- Ensure the authenticity of cash received.
- Ensure correct debtor account registration of sales.
- Ensure daily balancing of cash register sales.
- Ensure payout notes are signed with every payout.
- Ensure the correct transaction method is selected to ensure that pick notes are issued for Warehouse stock.
- Assist with stock-taking and stock counting.
- Build and maintain good relationships with internal and external clients and resolve client queries.
Technical Knowledge / Competencies:
- Customer service
- Direct sales knowledge of the irrigation industry and markets
- Policies and procedures
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of relevant Agricultural products will be advantageous
