Steinmüller Africa invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for Diesel Mechanic permanent position.
Job Location: Bethal, Mpumalanga, South Africa
Job Closing Date: 12 April 2022
Main Purpose: To ensure that all company machinery and vehicles are in good working condition to optimise effective use at all times.
Key Performance Areas:
- Do fault finding, repairs and maintenance on mobile cranes, trucks, tractor-trailers, and generators, mini passenger busses, LDV’s and passenger vehicles.
- Service vehicles, machinery at regular intervals according to a specific standard.
- Perform standby duties and attend to breakdown maintenance on sites.
- Test drive vehicles in order to do a technical evaluation.
- Prepare vehicles for roadworthy tests.
- Complete job cards and check sheets per vehicle as required.
- Comply with OHS Act as well as Company safety and environmental policies during execution of duties.
- Any other job related duties as required from time to time.

Preferred Requirements:
- Grade 12/N3.
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic Artisan.
- 10 Years’ relevant experience.
- Sound knowledge of hydraulics, auto electrical and air brake systems would be advantageous.
- Valid driver’s licence (minimum Code C).
- Willing to relocate to Bethal or to the nearby area.
