The Junior Chemical Engineer is responsible for developing, designing, constructing and operating chemical production facilities (Ideally in the Energetic material environment).
Key Performance Areas:
- Assist Senior staff with day-to-day activities
- Execute Projects within an Existing Project execution philosophy
- Execute design activities and assist with risk reviews
- Initiate new internal development initiatives
- Ensure the designs comply with all relevant legal and explosives regulatory requirement
- Develop Block Flow Diagrams, Process Flow diagrams and process and instrumentation diagrams
- Process correctness is strived during the construction of the chemical Manufacturing Facility
- Ensure the effective interaction between the acquisition team to ensure the correct process equipment is procured and installed
- Assist the Commissioning team to ensure that the constructed Chemical Facility performs to the designed specification
- Compile technical documentation and costing in support of new business development
- Interact with clients in support of business development
Requirements:
1. Qualification
- Minimum Qualification: BSc /B.Eng.: Chemical
2. Applicable Experience
- 0-2 years’ experience in the designing, construction and commissioning of Chemical Production Facilities
- Experience in the field of Energetic Material Manufacturing will be advantageous
3.Additional qualities or experience that will be to the benefit of the candidate
- Experience in the field of Energetic Material Manufacturing will be advantageous
- Knowledge and understanding of explosives Legislation and explosive regulations
