Gibela bursaries are applicable If you are a South African citizen with a South African bar-coded Identity Document, enrolled or intending to enroll at a South African University or the University of Technology, in need of financial assistance and able to demonstrate the potential for academic success.

Types of disciplines we fund for universities students:
- Electrical Engineering,
- Electronic Engineering,
- Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical
- Industrial Engineering
- Computer Science and Information Technology
- Accounting
- Supply chain and Logistics Management
NB. Applicants need matric-level 6 in Maths, Physical Science, English and Accounting as well as matric-level 5 in in order to qualify. Written proof of acceptance for admission from a South African University or University of technology

- Boiler-makers
- Electricians
- Mechanics
- Fitters and Turners
- Millwright
- Welders
- Pattern-makers
- Vehicle Builders
- Plumbers
- Control and Instrumentation Technicians
NB. Applicants must have matric-level four in Mathematics, Physical Science, and English. Gibela also requires written proof of acceptance for admission from a South African TVET institution.
The bursary will cover:
- Full tuition
- Bool allowance
- Accommodation and meals
NB. Funding is granted for one year and renewable on an annual basis based on academic performance.
