Assmang Iron Ore is offering bursary opportunities for 2024 to learners in South Africa. If you’re a student in the JTG district and have aspirations of pursuing higher education in the mining environment but face financial barriers, this opportunity could help you achieve your dreams.
About Assmang:
- Assmang Proprietary Limited was incorporated in South Africa in 1935 and operates through three key divisions: iron ore, manganese, and smelting operations.
- It is jointly owned by Assore South Africa Proprietary Limited (Assore) and African Rainbow Minerals Limited (ARM), both listed on the JSE Limited (South Africa’s premier stock exchange) under the symbol ARI.
- ARM handles administration and technical functions, while Assore manages the sales and marketing function.
Operations:
- In South Africa, Assmang mines manganese ore at the Black Rock mining complex (Nchwaning and Gloria mines) and iron ore at Khumani and Beeshoek mines, all located in the Northern Cape.
