Job Description
An opportunity has become available in the Project Finance Division of Mazars; an international professional services firm, based at Mazaars Gauteng to provide support growing our Project Finance/PPP offering primarily across the Energy, Utilities, and Telecommunications and transport sectors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with the initiation of engagement process.
- Perform and produce initial draft business plans and information memorandums.
- Perform and prepare bankability feasibility studies/business cases for infrastructure projects, including PPP transactions draft reports (including changes after reviews and client feedback).
- Assist in performing transaction advisory services.
- Assist with the preparation of financial models.
- Viability studies and capital investment appraisals.
- Assistance with preparing bankable feasibility study reports.
- Manage individual productivity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Undergraduate / Postgraduate Studies in ;-
- Finance
- Engineering
- Investment Analysis
- CFA is an added advantage.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in Project Finance for Associate position
- No experience for Project Finance Intern
Key Competencies:
- Willing to travel within Africa on engagements.
- Result-oriented approach with hands-on execution capability
- Initiative-taker with strong self-motivation
- Good presentation skills and an ability to assert ideas and influence others, to gain support and commitment.
- Analytical ability and good financial modelling skills, capable of assessing and building sophisticated “project finance” financial models.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Solving problems using a combination of intuition and analytics and ability to make sound professionally researched recommendations to clients.
- Effective use of MS Excel, MS Word & MS PowerPoint.
- Ability to deal with clients including CEOs daily.
- Good communicator with a sound grasp of English.
- Dedicated and committed – will need to work long hours at times to meet deadlines.
- Good report writing skills; and
- Good people skills.
- Entrepreneurial mind-set and analytical thinker
