Quality Specialist Intern
You as a Quality Specialist Intern will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Modderfontein, South Africa.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supporting the projects in the area of Quality Assurance /Quality Control management for implementing the Quality Assurance /Quality Control standards for the project and supporting other Quality Assurance /Quality Control initiates for the business unit and HUB.
- During practice-oriented training, the trainee gets to know Hitachi Energy in various ways of doing business. As a Quality Assurance/Quality Control trainee, you will support those responsible in all areas of Quality Management.
- You will be accountable for your project-related range of tasks, in which your conceptual and strategic thinking will be applied as well as your project management skills. This on-the-job training is supplemented with regular training programs along with the Henley Business School.
- As a Quality Assurance /Quality Control trainee, you will have a one-year contract.
- You will be independently in charge of projects with predefined goals in your own area of responsibility as would be assigned.

Requirements:
- Electrical Engineering Degree or Quality Assurance and Quality Control Certification.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control.

Finance Intern
You as a Finance Intern will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Longmeadow, South Africa.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hitachi Energy South Africa will expose you to not only local but regional operations where you will be paired with qualified and registered professionals to help you transition into a professional space by transferring their knowledge, skills, and attributes to you and help you learn beyond what you learned in the classroom.
- The Finance Graduate will be exposed to many facets of the financial environment but will mainly be focusing on supporting the controlling team within PGGA department.
- The successful candidate will be trained to be highly proficient and agile in the finance domain. Soft skills will be an integral part of their learning and stakeholder engagement.
- The graduate will learn how to work in a project environment and experience accounting related aspects regarding projects. With the guidance of the Business unit controller the graduate will also assist with helping the project controller with some duties, loading journal vouchers into the system, working on Accounts Receivables collections, collecting VAT documents for business. The graduate will also be responsible for ad hoc tasks related to finance not limited to those already mentioned above.
- The candidate must also contribute and participate in driving the finance team to meet their set objectives.

Requirements:
- You should have a Degree or Diploma in Accounting
- Demonstrate strong written and communication skills and overall learning attitude.
- Knowledge on Microsoft outlook, Intermediate Excel Skills, Word documentation and understanding general accounting principles would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
Engineer in Training
You as a Engineer in Training, will be part of Power Grid Business unit-Grid Automation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Student Support Engineer (SSE) will be trained to work in the Utility Telecommunication Environment which includes training in;-
- The basics of telecommunications
- Engineering process
- Project Management
- Production process
- Factory Testing
- Commissioning service
- Executing a complete project, yourself from start to finish (with support from the team).
- You will also be trained to deliver professional and courteous customer support service and promote a productive and positive relationship with customers in typical day-to-day interactions. Also, participate in and contribute to team efforts and manage your individual contributions.
Requirements:
- You should have a Degree, BTech in Electrical Engineering with Telecommunication, and preferably female candidates.
- Well-developed computer skills.
- Demonstrate strong written and communication skills and overall learning attitude.
- Knowledge of one or multiple of the following technologies would be advantageous:
- Telecommunication Systems
- Internet Protocol
- Basic Linux Skills
- Tools/Utilities: Microsoft, Outlook, Word, Excel etc.
