As SAICA Trainee Accountant you will be conducting various audit, independent review and compilation engagements. The firm’s goal is to equip you with sufficient experience and exposure to obtain the necessary SAICA competencies and help realise your goal of registering as a Associate General Accountant (SA) or Chartered Accountant (SA).
Role:
- You will learn how to compile and analyse financial statements
- You will work on accounting systems such as Sage Pastel, Xero Accounting and CaseWare
- You will be exposed to various different businesses, industries and entity types
- You will learn how to perform compilation, audit and independent review engagements
- You will gain experience in taxation by preparing both entity and individual tax returns via SARS e-filing
- You will develop your interpersonal and communication skills by working with a team and dealing with clients
Requirements:
- Matric certificate with mathematics (imperative) and accountancy (preferable)
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Studying towards a Bachelor’s Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting Sciences
- Aspiring to become an Associate General Accountant (SA) or Chartered Accountant (SA)
- Strong business ethics
