LABORATORY IN-SERVICE TRAINEE-QA/OC
(REF: LITIT 01112022)
Purpose In Fulfilment of P1 & P2 In-Service Training:
To undergo training in quality assurance – Laboratory, towards ensuring that raw materials, processed and packed products received are within the allocated specification, non-conforming product is well administered and timeously reported to the supervisors, in fulfillment of the P1 &P2 requirements of the Biotechnology or Food Technology Diploma.
Task Related to the Following will be Conducted:
- Ensure that QA SOP’s are followed with little supervision
- Inspecting and releases or rejecting received packaging destined for production
- Ensuring compiles reports and results
- Perform in process inspections and tests Quality of product against specifications
- Perform related duties as assigned
- Set up and operate laboratory equipment in preparation for tests
- Prepare samples and materials for analysis
- Capture and report results to plant and business
- Report and communicate deviations to Shift supervisor and various plants for resampling or retests
- Provide accurate results and expert recommendations to Shift supervisor to execute to various in processing and packing plants
- Review batch record for completion and proper documentation
- Perform and record daily calibrations, verifications and cleaning of instruments
- File and maintain
- Good Manufacturing Practices records
- Perform analytical testing on in-market product samples and provide monthly reports accordingly
- Support and assist lab analysts and shift supervisor
- Conduct micro analysis/ water analysis
- Comply with relevant safety and quality standards and regulations
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area in accordance with standard general housekeeping and maintenance operations in the Laboratory
- Adhere to food safety requirements (FSSC 22000, AIB)
- Adhering to food safety/ quality requirements
Qualifications:
- Successfully completed S4 National Diploma in Food Technology or Biotechnology
- Academic record, Matric/ Senior Certificate, ID copy and letter from the Educational Institution declaring readiness for work integrated learning should be attached
Knowledge:
- Understanding of food safety and FMCG
