Talane – The community structures leadership met regarding the posts advertised by Boysendal mine, they made it clear that there has been some shaddy work, literally corruption made by those responsible for community development programs.Maripana is an opportunist, he’s said to be the one causing division amongst Ngwaabe residents.

This follows the meeting on the 28th of January 2021, the meeting was held at Ga-Maphopha Moshate, where one of the employees of Boysendal whose work is to bring opportunities and/or community development in Ngwaabe, he’s said to be recruiting people to join the meeting which emerged a clear opportunity for Boysendal representatives to leave the meeting, without saying a word to the leadership.

According to the leaders of the structures under Chiefs in Ngwaabe, there’s been a clear direction, directing Boysendal to put on hold cadets for February 2021 until further notice.

“Police officers at the mines disturbing us, the uniform they are within isn’t theirs, and their major aim is to protect us – the public not private sectors. Now, we have a solution or a way to deal with Boysendal, if we fail we will let you know, but reporting to Magolego and Motimela at Boysendal is failing us,” said Leader Tladi.

Another guy from the crowd raised a hand and pointed to the meeting presiders of the meeting that they are focusing too much on Boysendal whereas they are more mines surrounding Ngwaabe.

“The issue of police’s been a problem to me since last year, we wanted things in Two Rivers Platinum Mine because security is tied. If the police are disturbing us, we can go to Schoenoord Police Station to ask them, to come and fight the Lydenburg Police, we are the son of the soil, we cannot let these guys badger us,” said Mositsa from the crowd.

Mr Rantho pointed out that the police are disturbing the community when trying to make their way into the mines, are from Lydenburg and people from Lydenburg were previously protesting, the protest lasted for days and the police did not intervene.
