Job Title: Company Secretary Intern
Main Purpose of the Role:
During this twelve (12) month programme, the intern will be allocated assignments which will give him/her exposure and practical experience as Company Secretary.
Key Accountabilities and Duties:
As a Company Secretary Intern, you will be expected to assist with and perform the following tasks under supervision;-
- Minute-taking;
- Assisting with governance-related matters;
- Reviewing and drafting Committee Charters;
- Keeping up to date with any regulatory or statutory changes and policies that might affect the organisation;
- Records management which includes but not limited to filling and managing important records and documents like Board
- Packs, Minutes of Board Meetings, and Resolutions;
- Drafting and reviewing agreements;
- Conducting legal research;
- Conducting due diligence investigations;
- Managing the Company Secretary’s Diary;
- Maintenance of the organisation’s trademarks; and
- Maintenance of the contracts and trademark registers
Requirements:
- Matric
- Law Qualification (LLB, BA LAW, CIS or Paralegal qualification)
- Graduate with no work experience required
