Apex is seeking a Junior Environmental Consultant to join our Team. The successful candidate will have a passion for environmental monitoring and will be expected to work on various projects delivering these services across a range of sectors. The successful candidate will need to be medically fit for work and travel, work in a team environment and apply a high degree of problem- solving in the execution of the required duties.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct site assessments and monitoring (60% of the work will be field based, both locally and internationally)
- Compile reports
- Assist with sample and equipment preparation
- Perform equipment servicing and maintenance
- Other related duties assigned by management
Skills / Attributes Required:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated skill in technical report writing and client communication.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Computer literate and proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Attention to detail and high degree of problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on, possessing some experience and skill with various hand-tools and equipment.
- Able to perform manual work (lifting and carrying task-specific equipment, tools, etc.).
- Able to work at heights, within confined spaces, and varying climates.
- Able to work at night (when required) and on weekends/ overtime (when required).
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Should be able to work independently and in a team
- Strong commitment to the environment, health, and safety, including following health
and safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences or Environmental Management
- Language: English
- Ability to commute: Amanzimtoti (reliable own car is preferable)
- License/Certification: Valid Driver’s License (Required Code B for manual vehicles)
- Passport: Valid passport
- Vaccination: COVID-19 fully vaccinated
